POWERSTONE
After I research about Three, found gamers are the big clients and can’t talk about history of the company without gaming industry so I decided to design a gaming router and create something very different router in the market as the client requested. To do that, I thought it will be very special if I make online gaming item to the real world. That’s how I started Powerstone 5g hub design.

powerstone inspired by the realms of gaming architecture, and made possible with levitating electromagnets.
With the comprehensive use of heat vents and heat syncs, air flow is consistently directed upwards through the shell, and heat is diverted from the interactive screen with a cooling fan.
The shape of the main design is came from the gaming items, the crystal and the floating land. As I decide to make the floating router, there were a few technical difficulties I had to sold.
The first problem was, I had to find a way to give exact middle point to the users so they can easily set up the floating. To solve this problem, I designed to sit the powerstone on the base of the middle point to start. As you can see the base design developed from the flat surface to the volcano shape.
Also added some holes on the top and the bottom of the device. These are vertical airflow system for cooling down the device.

We love that this design has been inspired by the massive growth in the gaming industry and there is a really clear target audience identified, tapping into a whole new market not done before.
As a group you have really done your research into the usage habits and lifestyle needs of the modern-day gamer, while being considerate of the potential negative health impacts gaming can have on both adults and children.
We particularly loved the futuristic design of the router, which completely smashes the dull, traditional form routers take today – a definite conversation piece within the home. The magnetised hovering gemstone design is just brilliant and the research you have done to ensure the charging functionality still works makes it a real possibility to manufacturer!
Finally, we thought it was brilliant that you have fully integrated the idea of gaming platforms
within the router capabilities, giving us further opportunity to monetise the product through additional services, as well as partner with globally recognised, credible gaming brands. All of these elements combined tell a really powerful story and create a compelling marketing proposition for both launch and in-life.
